Croatian Defense forces (Croatian: Hrvatske obrambene snage; HOS) was one of the first armed forces during the Croatian Independence War and the Bosnian War. The leader of the group, Blaž Kraljević, was killed in 1992.
In Croatia, the HOS was dissolved in September 1991 and included in the Croatian landslayer. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the HOS was lifted in 1992 and included in the Croatian Defense Council (HVO), the main military formation of the Croatian Republic of Herceg-Bosna during the Bosnian War.
