Description

Set consisting of a noble building, two gardens and the house of the masoveros. The space between the two gardens forms a small tree-lined avenue that leads to a barrel vault that passes under the main building, and that makes the lower part of the farm a continuation of a forest road. The main facade presents a series of irregularly distributed openings. A central balcony protrudes from the set, with wrought iron railing. On the left the chapel rises, with a belfry. Annex and perpendicular to the right side of the main facade, there is a building of the same characteristics. It should be noted the existence of two eighteenth-century balconies, and a Gothic window that is preserved in the back of the building. History

Doldellops was a farm in the Monastery of Poblet documented since 1154. By royal concessions to the Monastery, it became an important agricultural holding run by the monks. In the S. XIV several mills were established and a large Gothic building fortified with walls and defense towers. In 1700, the farm was acquired by Joan de Sagarra i Colom who restored the dependencies and built a new chapel. During the War of Spanish Succession the armies of Archduke Charles of Austria were housed. The property was owned by the Sagarra family until 1930, when it was acquired by the architect César Martinell, who made important changes over time. It is currently the summer residence of the Martinell family. Only the masters reside all year round.
