Saskia Kosterink


Saskia Kosterink (Zwolle, August 13, 1984) is a Dutch softballer.

Kosterink joined the Run'71 clubs from Oldenzaal, Tex Town Tigers in Enschede and has played for the Sparks from Haarlem since 2007. From 2006 to 2007 she joined the Gulf Coast CC in Panama City, Florida. She is an outsider and strikes and throws right-handed. Kosterink was a member of the Olympic team who participated in the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing. In 2007 she won most homeruns in the Dutch league and was named Best Buitenvelder during the European Championships. She has been a member of the Dutch women's dance team since 2005 and has played 48 internationally. In November, Kosterink was appointed ambassador by the World Softball Federation, aiming to return softball at the Olympic Games.
