Willem II Overnight

Willem Vernachten (approx. 1335 - Bruges, September 21, 1397) was a prostitute of Saint Donald in Bruges, grave chancellor and chancellor of Flanders. Lifecycle

Willem Vernachten was from the diocese of Tournai. He became a licentiate in both rights. From 1357 to 1361 he was a guest of the city of Bruges. Only afterwards he accepted the spiritual state. In 1363 he was a priest and became a chaplain or pastor in several places. He also received the promise of a canonist in Sint-Donau, via Louis's Louisiana. In September 1366 he became official of the diocese Terwaan. In 1368, he effectively obtained the ability to preach and became a blanket in Saint Donald, by decision of Pope Urbanus V. On July 5, 1368, he officially held the seat and remained in office for a quarter of a century.

In the meantime, he became a chancellor in October 1366, which he served until the end of 1372. He then became councilor of Louis de Mann and Filips de Stoute. In 1469 he received a canonist in Sint Pieters in Ariën, Liège and Lille.

On December 19, 1393, he was elected by the chapter as a prostitute of Saint Donald and Chancellor of Flanders, following the sequel of Zeger van Beke. Filips de Stoute immediately expressed his agreement. To those of the pope in Rome or of the breakaway in Avignon was not asked.

Deaths died in the prose dairy in Bruges and was buried in Saint Donald's Church. The graveyard, on which a priest figure is pictured in kazuifel, has disappeared, but Kanunnik de Molo has left us a drawing. Literature
