Boulange de Langevin

This short article presents a more developed topic in: Twins' Paradox.

The Boulet de Langevin, also called Boulet Jules-Vernes-Langevin, is a thought experiment in special relativity devised by the French physicist Paul Langevin in an article in the journal Scientia in 1911. This experience is exactly that of Paradox twins, but presented with travelers moving in cannonballs, in the manner of travelers Jules Vernes in From the Earth to the Moon that inspired Langevin. It is also presented at the Bologna Congress the same year. It is this conference, and this thought experiment, that will popularize the Twin Paradox, more usually presented with rockets rather than bullets. Notes and edit the code
