Gulf of Kamchatka


Gulf of Kamchatka The Gulf of Kamchatka (Russian: Камчатский залив; Kamchatski saliv) is a wave in the Bering Sea (Great Ocean), on the eastern side of the Russian Kamchatjatka peninsula, between the Kamchatski peninsula in the north and the Kronotski peninsula in South. The gulf extends over a length of about 148 kilometers and extends to the peninsula up to 74 kilometers. The wave has a maximum depth of about 2000 meters.

The Kamchatka River flows into the Gulf, as well as many other rivers. At the mouth of the Kamchat River, the port of Oest-Kamtsjatsk is located.
