Foam

Foam is a lime-like substance derived from the sugar industry, and is used as a soil improver in arable farming.

Foam is produced in the purification of the diffusion juice from sugar beets by adding unlabelled lime. As a result, the CaCO3 crystals with which certain substances from the juice adhere are formed with the water present and with CO2. The precipitate is filtered off, pressed and finally washed with water to form the foam soil. In addition to lime, froth contains 10 to 15% organic matter with 0.3 to 0.5% nitrogen in protein form. In addition, phosphorus (up to 1% as P2O5) and magnesium is present. The content of acid-binding ingredients is 40% in dried foam.

Foam is used to increase or maintain pH on farmland. Additionally, the soil adds organic matter. Brand Name
