Penlodh


Penlodh, Penloð or simply Penlod is a fictional character from the legendary British writer J. R. R. Tolkien. He was a high elf, Lord of Gondolin, mentioned several times in the story of "The Fall of Gondolin." He was described as the highest of the Noldor, and the chief of two of the twelve Houses of Gondolin: the House of the Pillar and the House of the Snow Tower. He perished during the fall after Rôg's death and the further retreat in the city. He was one of Orcrist's potential owners. Shields of the two Houses of Gondolin led by Penlodh. Casa del Pilar.
