Thermen Van Constantine

The Septimius Severus Thermal Baths (Latin: Thermae Severianae) was a thermal complex in ancient Rome.

The temples were built by Emperor Septimius Severus at the beginning of the third century. The bathhouse is well-known from various ancient sources and was included in the two fourth-century description of the district districts, which place it in the 1st district.

Remains of the building have never been recovered, which means that the exact location is no longer known. Probably the thermos were located in the valley at the Porta Capena, between the Aventin and the Caelius.

The Septimius Severus Thermal Baths must not be confused with the bathhouse that he built at the Palatin's palace (Balneum Palatii), which has been partially preserved.
