The urban village Vallée-de-la-Lièvre is one of 16 urban villages in Gatineau. It essentially includes the territory of the former municipality of Buckingham, along the Lièvre River.

There are 14,220 inhabitants in 2010. The territory is divided by river Lièvre, a river on which stands a dam. It counts on one side most services of the city (hospital, several primary schools, polyvalente, the CLSC, the main street, etc) and on the other bank one finds essentially residential districts.
