Horst Szymaniak, app. Schimmi, (Oer-Erkenschwick, August 29, 1934 - Melle, October 9, 2009) was a West German footballer.
Szymaniak played in Germany and Italy, with SpVgg Erkenschwick, Wuppertaler SV, Karlsruher SC, Calcio Catania, Inter Milan, AS Varese 1910 and Tasmania Berlin.
He was selected 43 times for 1956-1966 for the West German football team, with which he participated in the World Cup in 1958 and 1962. He was no longer selected for the World Cup in 1966. Also see
