The Nintendo Seal of Quality in English and currently Official Nintendo Seal in the NTSC regions is a golden seal used for the first time by Nintendo of America, and later by Nintendo of Europe, which appears in any game licensed for use in one of its video consoles, denoting that the game has been duly authorized by Nintendo (and, in theory, has passed a quality control). It is a golden seal with the shape of a star with the text "Original Nintendo Seal of Quality" or "Official Nintendo Seal". The stamp is circular in the PAL regions, such as Europe and Australia, and elliptical in the NTSC regions.
