The Rose of Nijmegen is a talent hunt for amateur bands and artists from the Nijmegen region who have their own repertoire. This talent hunt has been around since 1986.
Only participants from zip code area 6500 to 6699 may submit a demo. After a pre-selection by the jury, there are a number of first places in Music and Dancecafé Merleyn. The final takes place every year in Doornroosje (Nijmegen). Jury and public decide who will be in the finals on Ascension Day. The winner of the Rose of Nijmegen flows automatically to the Geseld van Gelderland.
