Cerro Cañada Cerrada


Cerro Cañada Cerrada (8 ° 53'36 "N 70 ° 47'25" W / 8.8932, -70.7904Coordinates: 8 ° 53'36 "N 70 ° 47'25" W / 8.8932, -70.7904) is a mountain formation located at the northern end of the El Gavilán páramo and its El Gavilán peak, Mérida, Venezuela. At an altitude of 3,879 meters above sea level, Cerro Cañada Cerrada is one of the highest mountains in Venezuela. Location

On the northern slope of the mountain sits the Caña Cerrada Andean farmhouse and, further west on the banks of Trunk 7, the town of Almorzadero. To the east are Cerro Piedra Negra, Cerro Santa Bárbara and its homonymous lagoon and Laguna La Corcovada.
