Guillaume Chauvin (around 1422 in Nantes - April 5, 1484 in Vannes) is a Breton noble, lord of Wood and Ponthus. Biographize the code

After a "magnificent career in the Breton administration", he was First President of the Audit Chamber from 1456 to 1467. He was appointed Chancellor of Brittany from 1460 to 1481 during the reign of Duke Francis II.

In 1468, he represented the Duke of Brittany, François II, during the Treaty of Ancenis which was a Breton capitulation to the King of France, Louis XI.

In 1481, he was imprisoned in Vannes for his political opinions and his opposition to Pierre Landais, the principal adviser to the duke, and died in prison on April 5, 1484. Sourcemode the code
