The Pledge of Allegiance in Mexico is an act or ceremony held every Monday in the school institutions of the country before singing the Mexican National Anthem. When the oath is spoken, the right hand is extended using the Roman greeting, directing it to the flag and, in a given case, turning the body in the direction of the flag. The oath to the Mexican flag is as follows:

Flag, Flag of Mexico Legacy of our heroes, Symbol of unity of our parents and of our brethren, we promise to always be faithful to the principles of freedom and justice that make of our Country, the independent nation, human and generous, to which we deliver our existence.
