Automercados Plaza's or simply Plaza's is a chain of supermarkets in Venezuela based in Caracas. It has 12 branches and 3 ServiPlaza's, mainly in Caracas and Valencia. It is one of the five largest supermarket chains in Venezuela, it is aimed especially at the upper middle class. Its slogan is Quality and good service. Class Apart.
It was inaugurated in 1963 with the name of El Prado Supermarkets as a family business, later it changed its name to Supermarkets Prados del Este, from that moment it was characterized by selling imported products in its premises. In 1969, the second supermarket opened and the company continued to grow although each store had a different name that did not identify them under the same banner. In 1994, the sixth location of the network, Automercados Plaza's Terrazas del Avila, located east of Caracas, was inaugurated. Since then, it has been decided to adopt the name Plaza's for all its establishments.
In 2001, the chain inaugurated three new branches reaching a total of 11 stores.
