Fiódor Petrov


Fiódor Fiódorvich Petrov (16 of March of 1902 - 19 of August of 1978) was a Soviet military engineer specialized in artillery, lieutenant-general of engineers, doctor in technical sciences and member of the Supreme Soviet . Biography

He was born in the Doktorovo, Oblast of Tula. His career began in 1916 as a pawn on the railroad. After graduating from the Polytechnic Institute of Leningrad in the military mechanics division in 1916, he became chief designer of a plant in 1946. Under his leadership were built the first long-range artillery pieces, howitzers of various calibers and other weapons in the years before the First World War. During World War II it participated in the organization of the mass production of pieces of artillery, digíendo also the construction of new designs of artillery and tanks of combat.

He held positions of delegate in the second and fourth assemblies of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR and received several decorations among which stand out: Selection of designs in which you participated
