Period effect

The period effect is one of three effects that can affect the sensitivity of a sociodemographic variable to the location of a given subpopulation over time. In fact, the period effect establishes a causal link between the historical period in which the subpopulation is recorded and the variable considered all things being equal, which means that the mere fact of belonging to a certain time determines at least in part the value of the variable as found for that time. This effect is distinguished from the age effect and the generation effect. code Related Articleschange the code
