Set in nineteenth-century California. Don Diego de la Vega, son of the rich landowner Don Alejandro de la Vega, fights against the evil captain Monasterios, commander of the Los Angeles garrison. For this he disguises himself as the Fox. Diego has his mute servant Bernardo, who makes various mechanical devices to fight the villains. She is also helped by Isabela, daughter of the neighbor Don Nacho, as well as by a Native American sorceress. The series has elements of the fantasy genre and science fiction. A prominent character is Sergeant Garcia.
