August Wester


August Wester, Jr. (February 12, 1882 in Newark, New Jersey - September 1960) was an American wrestler who competed in the 1904 St. Louis Olympics. He won the silver medal in the bantamweight category . He was born in Newark, New Jersey (weight 125 lb). His sports affiliation was the National Turnverein, Newark (USA).

He came second in the lightweight category in third place, the bantamweight, behind his compatriot Isidor Niflot. There were seven participants in the weight category, all from the USA.

Previously, Wester took second place in the AAU championships in 1902, losing to George Mehnert.
