The "Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan than Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Selangor Dar ul-Ihsan", or "King and ruler of the state of Selangor Dar ul-Ihsan and her territories" founded four knight orders.
The third of these knight orders is the "Order of Sultan Salah ut-din" Abdu'l Aziz Shah "named in Malay" Darjah Kebesaran Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah ". The order was set on June 6, 1961 by Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah.
The order has the following grades:
The First Class carriers carry a gold chain with the nine-pointed golden star of the order. On the left breast, she carries the star of the order. However, the name may be SSSA.
The Second Class Carriers carry the star on a ribbon around the neck and the star of the order on the left breast. Behind the name, they may place the letters DSSA.
The Third Class Carriers carry the star a ribbon around the neck. Behind the name, they may place the letters SSA.
The Fourth Class Carriers carry the star to a ribbon on the left breast. Behind the name, they may place the letters ASA.
