Alonzo Clemons

Alonzo Clemons (1958) is an American and savant animal sculptor. Live in Boulder, Colorado.

Clemons suffered a severe brain injury as a child that left him with developmental disabilities (with an IQ in the 40-50 range), but able to create very precise animal sculptures from clay. Clemons can create a sculpture of almost any animal, even if he has only seen a glimpse of it. He is best known for his life-size versions of a horse, but most of his works are smaller, and made in less than an hour.

In 1986 there was a premiere exhibition in Aspen, Colorado. His works have sold for up to $ 45,000.
