Gaspar Ariño Ortiz is a Spanish lawyer and politician. He has a degree in law from the University of Valencia and a doctorate from the University of Madrid. He is a member of the Bar Associations of Madrid and Valencia, and founder of the Ariño y Asociados Law Firm (currently, Ariño y Villar, lawyers). He has been an assistant professor of administrative law at the University of Madrid from 1972 to 1978, professor of administrative law at the universities of La Laguna (1978-1980), Barcelona (1981-1982) and Valladolid (1983-1988), and since 1988 of the Autonomous University of Madrid. He was elected deputy for the Popular Party by the province of Valencia in the Spanish general elections of 1989 and in 1996 he was a member of the Consultative Council of Privatizations.
