In Greek mythology, Caÿstros or Caystre (in ancient Greek Κάϋστρος / Káÿstros) is a river god of Lydia.

According to some authors, he is the son of Achilles and the Amazon Penthesilea. He also passes for the father of Ephesus, the founder of the city of Ephesus, and of Semiramis, whom he had with Derceto - a nymph who, according to Diodorus of Sicily, had a woman's face and a body of fish. After violently falling in love with Caÿstros (under the influence of Aphrodite who had to complain about her) and giving birth to a girl, Dercéto, ashamed, expounded her child and killed Caÿstros.
