Jan Remmers

Johannes Antonius Josephus Jan Remmers ('s-Hertogenbosch, September 30, 1922 - April 3, 2013) was a Dutch soccer player and soccer coach.

Remmers came out as a football player for BVV, which became the defender in the 1947/48 season's national champion of the Netherlands. He came out for this club until 1958. In 1960, Remmers began training VV Baronie.

From 1961 to 1970, Remmers was trainer of N.E.C. Until October 1961 as a duo job with Baronie who did not want to let him go. In 1964, this club won the championship in Second Division B. Three years later, in the 1966/67 season, N.E.C. to the Eredivisie after finishing second in the First Division after FC Volendam. In 1969 they participated in the Intertoto Cup.

Under-inhibitors achieved N.E.C. the club record of seven consecutive won matches in the season 1966/67, from 27 August to 2 October 1966. On January 4, 1967 the club beat RBC Roosendaal with 3-7; This is up to now the contest with most goals in Nijmegen's professional history.

From 1970 to 1974, Remmers was the trainer of FC Den Bosch. He then gave his other job of Procurement Holder at ABN. With this club he won the First Division in the 1970/71 season and therefore promoted to the Eredivisie.

From 1974 to 1980, Remmers was trainer of RKC who played in the main category. In the 1980/81 season he trained VV Geldrop.

Remmers died in 2013 at the age of 90 at Jeroen Bosch Hospital in 's-Hertogenbosch.
