Rudolf Petersson, born June 17, 1896 in Halmstad, died April 17, 1970 in Enhörna (Södermanland), was a Swedish artist and draftsman. He created the most popular comic series in Sweden: 91: year Karlsson (Karlsson number 91), which will be taken up again in 1960 by Nils Egersson and is still published to this day. In 1915-1916, he studied at the School of Fine Arts in Gothenburg. He did his military service from 1916 to 1918 in Halmstad. Between 1919 and 1921, he worked sporadically as a draftsman for the humorous newspaper Strix. He moved to the United States in 1921 where he worked for 2 years as a cartoonist reporter at Cleveland News. After returning to Sweden in 1930, he worked for several Stockholm newspapers. In 1932, he created his series 91: year Karlsson which will be published for the first time in the weekly Allt för Alla.
