Diego Larenas Álvarez Rubio


Diego Larenas Álvarez-Rubio Henríquez; (Chillán, 1789 - 1855). Son of Colonel Enrique Larenas Soto-Aguilar and doña Juana Paula Álvarez-Rubio and Henríquez Coloma. Married to Vasquez Larenas Tránsito and in second nuptials with Isabel Perez and Alvarez-Rubio.

During the period of independence he was a son of a realist while his pragmatism made him abstain from opinion until the end of the events. He was a merchant and under the new government in Chile went to manage the tobacconist of Chillán.

Elected Deputy by Concepción and Talcahuano (1825-1826). Later he returned to his business activities. Bibliography
