It is a fortress that stands on the banks of the river Júcar, and nowadays next to it is the swamp called El Naranjero. Of it only remains of walls and some basements of towers. By the description of Rafael Martí de Viciana in the third Volume of his Chronicle it is known that in the fortress there was a church dedicated to Our Lady History

The history of this castle is paired with that of the Castillo de Dos Aguas. Thus, just as happened with the previous one, King James I of Aragon, in 1256, donated it, to Ato de Foces. In 1325, it was acquired by Francisco Scribe, and later passed by various owners, until finally Giner Rabasa de Perellós, bought Dos Aguas and Madrona with cars made in Valencia on October 11, 1496. Later, in 1699, the barony of Two Waters would constitute a marquisate. Although it is known that it existed in the Muslim period, a date can not be given to its construction. Although it is true that in the Registers of Royal Chancery is frequently quoted this castle, and in the mentioned work is recorded that were ordered and carried out repair works in the year 1292 and 1314.
