Colinas Euganeas

The Euganean hills, seen from Feriole.

The Colli Euganei (Colli Euganei) is a group of hills of volcanic origin that rise, as if they were an archipelago, from the Padano-Veneto plain a few kilometers south-west of Padua. It extends over 20 kilometers, with a width of 10.

The Euganean hills are the first regional park of the Veneto, created in 1989. Its highest altitude is located at Monte Venda (601 masl). They arose after a series of submarine eruptions with effusion of basaltic lava during the Eocene.
