Emile Selbach

Emile Johannes Selbach (Nijmegen, June 29, 1886 - December 9, 1914), known as the most important hotelier in Europe in his short life. He was the hotelholder, first from hotel-café-restaurant Central, at the Korenmarkt and afterwards from the hotel-café-restaurant Valkhof, at the Valkhof in Nijmegen.

Thick Selbach weighed more than 200 kg. He ate huge amounts in public, as a venue for guests for his hotel. He is buried at the Roman Catholic Cemetery Daalseweg in Nijmegen. Externe link
