Hans of Tettau


Hans von Tettau (November 30, 1888 - 1956) was a German military man, participated in the First and Second World Wars; reached the rank of General of Infantry. He commanded the 24th Infantry Division of the Wehrmacht between June 14, 1940 and February 23, 1943. Between September 1943 and late 1944, he commanded an SS training center in Arnhem. When the Allies started Operation Market Garden, von Tettau organized the Kampfgruppe von Tettau to head the resistance in Arnhem.
