Santa Cruz de Los Taques is the capital of the municipality of Los Taques, in the Paraguaná peninsula of Falcon state, Venezuela. During times of vacations, thousands of tourists from all over Venezuela and abroad go to this town with the purpose of enjoying its beaches, which are its main tourist attraction.

The Taques is the most important historical landmark as a port after Cape San Roman. Its name appears from the discovery. The Taques was a place of p for concentration and training of realistic and patriotic naval forces for its strategic position and accessible coast, deep and still waters.

Until recently it was a place of great commercial activity from which cargoes of dividive, cheese, cattle, fish arrived and the ships loaded with the goods of local consumption arrived.
