Harvard Yard is a 10-hectare grassy area, adjacent to Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts, which is the oldest part and center of the Harvard University campus. Geographically, the courtyard area is bordered to the west by Massachusetts Avenue and Peabody Street, north by Cambridge Street, northeast of Broadway, east of Quincy Street, and south by Harvard Street and Massachusetts Avenue. It contains thirteen of Harvard College's seventeenth-year dormitory dormitories, as well as four libraries, five classroom buildings and academic departments, and the administrative headquarters of the College of Arts and Sciences and the University, located at Hall University and Massachusetts Room, respectively.
