Snapline is a Chinese band, formed in Beijing in 2005, composed of Li Qing on guitar and keyboards and Li Weisi on bass, both musicians were students of an Institute of Technology in Beijing. His music was dedicated to working in a contemporary context such as sounds and ideas produced by different styles of famous musicians from the 1970s and 1980s, focusing especially on the New York scene of the time. Also wishing to explore dark music, they traveled to England, United Kingdom, for during that period, they followed the musical styles of Joy Division and The Cure, both Chinese musicians created a parallel project, in which they realized a strange musical style, like the touch of a musical instrument called drum machine, based on the darkest, in minor chords. Chen Xi, in the voice and drum machine, bought a softer and more fluid sound for the band, because with his delicate voice I can lead to success to his band.
