José María Cañizares


José María Cañizares is a Spanish golfer born on February 18, 1947 in Madrid. Trajectory

He also participated four times in the European Ryder Cup team, with a record of five wins and four losses. His victory over Fuzzy Zoeller in 1985 was especially significant, and that meant the first European victory in 25 years. Another important performance of Cañizares was his two victories in the Golf World Championship by team. In 1982 with Manuel Piñero as a partner and in 1984 with José Rivero.
