Pitilingorri

In part of Spain, pitilingorri, kasimotxo, caliguay, txurrumuski, "vimão", Tologorri or the newly baptized fantapoxo is the name given to the drink mix of red wine with lemon or orange soda. It comes from a variant of the calimocho, wine with cola.

This name is also attributed to the combination of rosé wine with orange or lemon soda. The name comes from the Basque language which means a little red (pitilin de pittilin or pitxilin which means a little, and sparrow that is red) due to the color of the mixture. Its origin is in the south of Spain although this is what this popular drink in the Basque Country is called. In Argentina it is called "Fantino", due to the fusion between the Fanta soda and the wine.

In Andalusia and Extremadura this drink is called summer red, which is more like wine with soda or lemon soda, and in some places it is accompanied with martini.

In general pitilingorri, lemon and orange soft drinks are usually taken to botellones to mix with "hard" alcohol: martini, rum, vodka, etc. Therefore when the bottles are finished it is used by mixing the soda with the remains of the wine.

Pitilingorri is also a well-known sex shop located in Amara, the red light district of San Sebastian.
