Abbot of the monastery of Santa María de Vilabertrán, was elected bishop of Elna during the years 1377 and 1380, occupying the bishopric of Lérida between 1380 and 1386 and finally was proclaimed bishop of Barcelona in 1386, a position that he held until his death occurred in the year 1398.

He was a counselor to King Pedro III, supporting Pope Clement VII, during the Schism of the West.

During his bishopric in Barcelona he protected the Jews in the revolts of 1391. He was a great follower of the works of the cathedral and his remains rest in a mausoleum made by the sculptor Antoni Canet in 1408, in the Cathedral of Barcelona . Bibliography
