Sascha Van den brand (Ruiselede, August 18, 1989) is a Belgian swimmer. Early life
At the age of five, Van den Branden started swimming. She suffered from scoliosis and swimming proved to be the best remedy. In addition to swimming she did to turnouts, ballet and tennis. As she grew older, she trained more and focused on swimming. Van den Branden then trained especially in Aalter headed by Hubert Backs. At school she studied economics mathematics in Aalter. In September 2004 she went to the top sports school in Merksem. Van den Branden did not train in Aalter, but in Eeklo. She is being coached by Pascale Verbauwen.
