Cathedral of Saint Catherine of Alexandria in Old Goa The Archdiocese of Goa and Daman (in Latin: Archidioecesis Goana and Damanensis) is a jurisdiction of the Catholic Church in the Hindu provinces of Portuguese heritage of Goa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Damán and Diu. It was created in 1533 as a diocese and elevated to Archdiocese by Pope Pius XI on May 1, 1928. His current bishop is Archbishop Filipe Neri Antonio Sebastião do Rosário Ferrão since 2003. He is part of the Patriarchate of Indian East India .
