Career of Vassens


The Vassens quarries are located at the hinge between Aisne and Oise in Picardy. Covering an area of ​​one hundred hectares, they extend over the municipalities of Vassens, Autrêches and Audignicourt.

Two banks of limestone are exploited, namely the royal bank, fine grained slightly banded, and the franc bank (Vergelet), more awake.
