Frank Deasy

Frank Deasy (Dublin, 1960 - Glasgow, September 17, 2009) was an Irish scenario writer.

Deasy won an Emmy Award for the scenario of the television series Prime Suspect and was nominated for Looking After Jo Jo and The Grass Arena. Among his other work are the BBC / HBO mini series, The Passion.

In the period before his death to liver cancer, Deasy publicly spoke about his physical condition. An appearance in RTTE Radio 1's Liveline caused a huge increase in donor codic applications.

Deasy was born in Artane, Dublin. Initially, he worked as a child caregiver at the Eastern Health Board, but later left for Glasgow. And there he also suffered from complications in his probable life-saving liver transplant.
