Graham Wallas (Sunderland, May 31, 1858 - August 9, 1932) was an English Socialist, Social Psychologist, Educational Promoter and Leader of the Fabian Society. biography

Wallas enjoyed his education at Shrewsbury School and at Corpus Christi College of Oxford University. In Oxford, Wallas left religion behind and became a advocate of rationalism. He then taught at the independent Highgate School until 1885. At that time, Wallas was more likely to resign than to accompany the Eucharist. Later he became president of the Rationalist Press Association, to promote free thinking and rationality.

Wallas became a member of the Fabian Society in 1886, following his acquaintances Sidney Webb and George Bernard Shaw. In 1904, he reiterated his membership in protest against the organization's support for Joseph Chamberlain's tariff policy.

Since 1895, Wallas gave lectures to the newly established London School of Economics. Bibliography
