Luca Gelfi was an Italian professional cyclist born in Seriate (Bergamo) on June 21, 1966. He made his professional debut in 1988 in the Italian team Del Tongo and retired in 1998.
As a professional only achieved two victories, but of particular relevance: in the Giro de Italia 1990, which won the Italian also Gianni Bugno, with finals in Fabriano and Cuneo.
He died on January 3, 2009, at age 42, committing suicide because of a severe depression. It appeared lifeless in the bike shop that ran in Torre de Roveri, Italy. Awards
