Rosendo Sáez de Parayuelo


Rosendo Sáez de Parayuelo y Sáez de Quintanilla (Cillaperlata, 1720 - Madrid, April 4, 1798) was a Spanish nobleman and politician of the eighteenth century.

Biography

Born in Cillaperlata, province of Burgos, second of four children of the marriage between Tomás Sáez de Parayuelo and García and Andrea Sáez de Quintanilla and Alonso. His father was Hijodalgo in 1711, Procurator in 1712 and Chapter governor in 1719. His older brother, Tomás Sáez de Parayuelo y Sáez de Quintanilla, Officer of the Chamber Secretariat of the Royal Patronage, was also appointed in 1776 as a retired knight of the Order of Carlos III. During the reign of Charles III he held various positions and positions of responsibility, notably the Minister of the Treasury, as well as Minister of the General Board of Commerce, Currency and Mines, and the Royal of Monte Pio de Offices. He was General Director of Revenue until his retirement in 1795. He also held the positions of General Superintendent of the Royal Salitres del Reyno and Secretary of S.M.

An influential figure in the Court, he was close collaborator among others of the Marquess of Esquilache and of Jose de Gálvez and Gallardo, conserving testimony of a great amount of dispositions and documents of his time. Awards
