side Stepper

Sidestepper is the artistic name of British producer and DJ Richard Blair

After working for several years in Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios for a number of international artists, Richard Blair moved to Bogota, Colombia, in 1992. This trip, initially scheduled as a quick tour in a three-year stay, during which Blair immersed himself in the rich Colombian music scene. There, he was producer and engineer for several albums of Carlos Vives the pioneer of the pop-vallenato music, and for the rockers of the group Los Aterciopelados. During this same period, he immersed himself in the deep sounds of Afro-Colombian rhythms, Cuban classical sound and salsa repertoire that are the basis of today's Colombian music.

Once back in England, Blair produced a series of singles that aroused great interest and fused classical Latin music with avant-garde drum'n'bass. Later, Blair released the album "More Grip" on the market.
