Tsoeg Teoetsjezj (Russian: Цуг Теучеж), formerly Tagir Alievitsj Teoetsjezj (Тагир Алиевич Теучеж) (ao Gaboekaj (now Teoetsjezjchabl), August 3 [OS August 15] 1855 - Aoel Ponezjkaj, January 26, 1940) was an Adygese Soviet- closer.
Teoetsjezj was born in the village of Gaboekaj and worked as a farmer in his youth. Later he became a saddler. For the Russian Revolution he wrote Adygian poems about the oppression by the Russians. Under the Soviet regime, his work was noticed and deployed for the construction of the socialist Adygea. He wrote in that time the poems War with the princes and hurricanes (Russian: Война с князьями и орками) (1938), Fatherland (Родина) (1939) and Oerysbi Mefoko (Урысбий Мэфоко) (1939) and was distinguished for his work with Order of the Red Job Banner. In honor of him, his birthplace was renamed Teoetsjezjchabl. An Adygees district was also renamed Teoetsjezjski district, and the town of Adygejsk was called Teoetsjezjsk between 1976 and 1992. In his birthplace there is a museum about him.
