Yabir al-Kaabi


Sheikh Yabir al-Kaabi (178 ~ - 1881) (Arabic: الشيخ جابر الکعبي) was a tribal chief of the Arab tribe of the Bani Kaab and sheikh of the city of Mohammere (now Jorramshahr) in the nineteenth century He had 2 sons, Mazal Jan, who succeeded him as tribal leader, and Jazal Jan.

Leader of great authority, he had good relations with King Nasereddín Shah Kayar. It was very important his role in the defense of Juzestán in front of the attempts of invasion by the British and Ottoman troops.
