Coat of arms of the province of Huesca


The coat of arms of the province of Huesca was adopted on May 10, 1957; it consists of a shield divided into eight barracks that gathers the coats of arms of the former judicial parties that were part of the province:

Entitled on the tip of sinople, the face of a man, natural, bearded of saber accompanied by five shields of Aragon placed one, two and two that is the shield of Barbastro.

On the whole, escutcheon of gules (and not of azur) with the elements of the coat of arms of the city of Huesca, an outlined rider with silver helmet, armed with spear, mounted on a horse of the same metal next to the legend "Urbs Victrix Osca" placed on the tip.

The ring, an ancient royal crown, open and without diadems, is a circle of gold, set with precious stones, composed of eight florets, visible five, interpolated of pearls.
