The Klehini River is a 58-kilometer (36-mile) long Alaskan stream in the Haines Borough. It originates in British Columbia, and empties into the Chilkat River of which it is the main tributary. The river is famous for its migrations of salmon, and for its gatherings of bald patches. It delimits the northern border of the Chilkat chain. Its lower reaches through the Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve Wildlife Preserve where 200 to 400 bald pyrowens live throughout the year. Related Articleschange the code code
